In our example, we will use a database called “Event Sales”, which you will find in the exercises folder. Open the sub-folder called “05-Connecting to SQL Server”. Inside it, you will find a database backup called “EventSales.bak”. You will need to restore this database into an instance of SQL Server.

Launch SSMS and connect to your SQL Server instance. Then, in the Object Explorer, right-click on Databases and select Restore Database.

This launches the Restore Database dialog. On the left of the dialog are links to three pages: General, File and Options. In the General page, click on Device, then click on the Browse button; the three dots on the right of the screen.
